The Estadio
Santiago Bernabeu is a football specific stadium located in the spanish capital Madrid. Also know as the Bernabeu it is the home stadium of the 2011/12 La Liga Champions Real Madrid. The stadium was first opened in 1947 under the name Nuevo Estadio Chamartín, the Real Madrid Stadium name was changed to Santiago Bernabeu in 1955 with the name being taken from the then president of the club.

It has hosted the Champions League final 4 times with the most recent time being the final between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich, which inter won 2-0, in 2010. In the mid-1990's the stadium underwent a massive expansion and re-modelling which took the Bernabeu capacity up to its present day limit.
